Silk & Spice offers a sensory journey through Thai Cuisine at Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche.
There’s something about a hot and sour tom yum soup or an aromatic green curry that conjures up images of exotic jungles and tranquil beaches. And while travel to Thailand may be on hold for now, Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche is looking to recapture the essence of the country affectionately referred to as ‘The Land of Smiles.’
After a temporary closure some years ago, lauded restaurant Silk & Spice will once again open its doors at the luxury five-star address on Abu Dhabi’s picturesque Corniche this May. Back by popular demand, Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche is staying true to the origins of Silk & Spice by rebuilding the restaurant brick-by-brick upon the previous foundations.
Diners can expect traditional sunken tables, tasteful décor, a carved wooden ceiling and authentic kneel-down service to provide a true taste of Thai hospitality. Regular patrons can expect a familiar setting featuring distinctive surroundings, and an atmosphere to set the scene for an evening of fruity cocktails and authentic Thai dishes. The menu includes popular choices such as Phad Thai, Green Papaya Salad and Mango Sago. Embracing the depth and authenticity of the nuanced flavours of Thai cuisine, the Silk & Spice menu is a showcase of elegance, creativity and rich textures.
While we cannot book a flight to Thailand today, Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche offers a culinary journey through Thailand. Bursting with culture, traditions and food that’s bound to prove adventuresome for your taste buds. For Thai food connoisseurs in the capital, Silk & Spice looks set to return to its former glory and will be firing up their woks with a combination of fiery spices and silky goodness, straight after Eid-Al-Fitr.
