Opening in stages from late 2028, Wetlands by the Bay will blend immersive digital art with an expanded mangrove landscape and waterfront dining.
Gardens by the Bay is preparing for its biggest evolution in years. The waterfront attraction has announced Wetlands by the Bay, a new five-hectare precinct in Bay South Garden that will combine living wetlands with large-scale art, nature-first infrastructure and fresh reasons to linger after the conservatories.

There will also be a dedicated events and community zone called Glade Lawn, spanning 3,500 square metres for gatherings, programmes and outdoor happenings.

Across the water, a new bridge linking Bay South Garden and Bay East Garden is scheduled for completion in 2028. The structure will be around 550 metres long, with a 175-metre section that sits just above the Marina Reservoir, delivering that “walk on water” sensation as the skyline frames the view.
Food is also being redesigned. Satay by the Bay is set for a refreshed waterfront concept, retaining accessible options at ground level while adding more casual eateries above, expanding the park’s all-
