The BIRKENSTOCK Boston celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026.
This is the second collaboration with ADERERROR since 2022.

BIRKENSTOCK hosts a homecoming with South Korea’s streetwear star ADERERROR in celebration of the Boston footwear’s milestone anniversary.
In light of its 50th anniversary this year, the BIRKENSTOCK Boston clog is reuniting with ADERERROR on a series of limited-edition footwear launching globally on 6 August. This collaboration is the second meeting between the utilitarian German shoemaking brand and the South Korean streetwear institution since 2022.
This time around, designs from this collection are structured around the BIRKENSTOCK patented anatomical footbed that was invented to champion the ergonomic principle of walking as intended by nature. The two styles available include the Boston Cap and Boston Flap reimagined with ADERERROR’s concept of ‘Thread,’ which explores the metaphorical and literal idea of drawing connections and continuity. This visual representation is realised with the South Korean brand’s artisanal zigzag embroidery throughout the two styles, with considered touches of ADERERROR’s signature Ultra Blue hue.
The BIRKENSTOCK Boston Cap is a slip-on clog with an enclosed toe cap and features an adjustable strap secured with a metal buckle. For this collection, the style is available in Black and Camel, rendered in suede and leather for its uppers.
On the other hand, the design of the BIRKENSTOCK Boston Flap features a distinctive upper flap that updates the silhouette of the brand’s classic footwear. The flap is attached with thick threads using a whipstitch technique. Available in ADERERROR’s Ultra Blue and Camel tones, this Boston Flap is the bolder expression of the South Korean brand’s avant-garde ethos.
Founded in 2014 by an anonymous fashion collective in Seoul, ADERERROR is shaped by its slogan: “But near missed things”; a belief in the beauty of imperfections in ordinary objects and how they can be emphasised with eclectic designs.
The BIRKENSTOCK X ADERERROR collection will be available online, in boutiques, and selected retailers worldwide on 6 August 2026.
