25 years after its launch, a new chapter begins for Chanel Beauty’s Coco Mademoiselle, accompanied by an exclusive reservations-only pop-up.

In tandem with the launch of the new Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu fragrance by Chanel Beauty, comes the unveiling of a pop-up beauty bar at New Bahru’s Alma House. Running from 20 August to 13 September 2026, the pop-up offers an in-depth look at the stories behind the fragrance through a multi-sensorial journey.

Unfurling in stages, a visit to the pop-up begins with an introductory station that reveals the finest details behind Coco Mademoiselle’s original composition by perfumer Jacques Polge. Guests can further indulge in the experience at this juncture with a café-style menu featuring familiar Parisian favourites. Moving on to the discovery bar, a series of films documenting the fragrance’s evolution will be screened, paired with an olfactory experience to engage the senses.

The last stage involves a personalised consultation session in which guests will be treated to a scented experience and a hand massage tailored to their preferences for Coco Mademoiselle’s various reinterpretations.

First launched in 2001, Coco Mademoiselle is sometimes referred to as the more youthful counterpart to the iconic Chanel N°5 perfume. Though both fragrances are housed in similarly designed flacons — in austere rectangular glass bottles topped with an octagonal cap — the identities of the two scents are as different as night and day. As far as Chanel N°5 appeals to the madame of polite society, Coco Mademoiselle’s fruity and feminine notes belong to the sophisticated demoiselle on the go.

Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu

At its heart, the Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absol, the latest rendition of the fragrance, is also a story of one man’s legacy. The nose behind the scent, Olivier Polge, is the son of its original creator. This time around, Olivier’s reinterpretation of the playful Coco Mademoiselle’s notes of grapefruit and lychee is layered with jasmine, patchouli, rose, vanilla, and vetiver. The result is a fragrance that feels like a natural new chapter for its original’s fans — albeit more sensual, yet still as well-dressed as its predecessor.

Limited time slots to attend the Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu pop-up at Alma House are now available online.
