The Bristol music pioneers will perform at The Star Theatre on 29 July 2026.

Singapore’s live music calendar continues to gather pace, and this summer it welcomes one of the most influential names in British music. Massive Attack is heading back to the Lion City for a one-night-only performance at The Star Theatre on Wednesday, 29 July, giving fans the chance to experience the group’s acclaimed live production in full.

For longtime listeners, this is more than just another concert announcement. It marks Massive Attack’s first proper Singapore show in 15 years, and this time the experience promises to be far more expansive. The band is set to arrive with a full live band and special guest vocalists, alongside the cinematic sound and immersive visuals that have helped define its stage presence over the years.

Who are Massive Attack?

Led by Robert “3D” Del Naja and Grant “Daddy G” Marshall, Massive Attack emerged from Bristol and helped shape a sound that would go on to influence generations of artists. Their 1991 debut album, Blue Lines, remains a landmark release, and the duo have since built a catalogue filled with brooding, genre-blurring tracks that still feel fresh today. Songs such as “Teardrop”, “Unfinished Sympathy”, “Safe From Harm” and “Inertia Creeps” continue to hold their place in popular culture, balancing trip-hop, soul, dub and electronica with remarkable ease.

What makes this return especially notable is the contrast with the group’s last appearance in Singapore. Back in 2011, Del Naja and Marshall performed a one-off DJ set at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre as part of the Singapore Grand Prix entertainment lineup. That appearance offered a taste of Massive Attack, but not the full experience. This July, audiences can expect the complete live experience, which is a major difference for a band whose performances are as much about atmosphere as they are about sound.
