The K-pop star will join a symphonic concert at the Esplanade Theatre.
Singapore’s concert calendar is showing no signs of slowing down, and now another major K-pop event has been announced. Wendy of Red Velvet is set to perform in the Lion City as the special guest at SM Classics Live in Singapore 2026, which takes place on Friday, 10 July 2026, at the Esplanade Theatre.
SM Classics Live revisits some of SM Entertainment’s best-known songs through full orchestral arrangements, giving familiar tracks a more cinematic, emotionally charged sound. Audiences can expect music from artists including BoA, TVXQ, Girls’ Generation, Red Velvet, NCT, and aespa, all performed in a format that blends K-pop with classical composition.
Wendy has built a reputation as one of K-pop’s strongest vocalists. As part of Red Velvet, she has helped deliver some of K-pop’s most recognisable hits, from “Red Flavor” and “Bad Boy” to “Psycho” and “Feel My Rhythm.” Away from the group, she has also built a successful solo profile with tracks such as “Like Water,” “Wish You Hell,” and “When This Rain Stops.” Her expressive delivery should translate naturally to an orchestral backdrop, adding extra weight to a concert already built around scale and drama.
The show will be performed by the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra under the direction of Thanapol Setabrahmana, reinforcing the event’s classical credentials while keeping one foot firmly in contemporary pop culture.
