The newly opened restaurant on Amoy Street brings a modern Korean dining concept to the CBD.
Singapore’s dining scene is constantly evolving, but it takes something distinctive to stand out in a city already spoiled for choice. Enter MODU High, a new addition to the Central Business District that places one of Korea’s most comforting dishes firmly at the centre of the conversation. Located on Amoy Street, the restaurant builds on the reputation of the much-loved MODU brand, which first earned a following for its deeply satisfying samgyetang bowls.
This latest concept stays true to the spirit of its parent brand. The name “Modu” translates to “accessibility and inclusivity,” and that philosophy runs throughout the experience here. While the setting feels contemporary, the food remains rooted in comfort, nourishment and a sense of familiarity.

Inside, MODU High in Singapore draws inspiration from the traditional Korean Hanok house, but instils it with a modern edge. Warm wood tones, soft lighting, and earthy finishes create a calm, understated atmosphere that feels worlds away from the pace of the bustling business district. The restaurant includes a spacious main dining room, semi-private Hanok-style booths, and a private lattice room.
At the heart of the menu is samgyetang, the popular Korean ginseng chicken soup often associated with restoration and wellbeing. Long regarded as a dish that nourishes both body and mind, it is closely tied to Korea’s “boyang-sik” philosophy, where food is designed to replenish energy and support overall wellness.

Guests can explore 12 interpretations of samgyetang, spanning premium, speciality, and classic selections. Each bowl begins with organic spring chicken and a base of time-honoured ingredients, including ginseng, jujube, garlic, and rice. The broth is simmered for 12 hours, resulting in a rich, deeply comforting soup with layers of flavour. For those looking to go beyond the signature dish, the menu also includes seafood and meat options, broadening the appeal without losing sight of the restaurant’s core identity.
With an experience rooted in intention and soul, MODU High in Singapore offers a special dining experience. So if you’re looking for a nourishing and comforting meal, this is where you ought to be.
