The hit T-pop boy band LYKN is headed for Singapore for a one-night-only performance with their first full-length studio album.
T-pop’s rapid ascension on the global stage is bringing one of its brightest young acts to the city’s shores. Thai boy band LYKN has announced the Singapore stop of its Dusk and Dawn World Tour, with plans to make this performance one of its most ambitious live productions yet at The Theatre at Mediacorp on 6 September. For fans, it is the rare opportunity to catch one of Thailand’s fastest-rising pop acts at the height of its momentum on its first world tour.
News of this concert date follows the release of LYKN’s first full-length studio album, Dusk and Dawn. Tapping on the theme of coming of age, the tracks in this latest showing by LYKN are about translating the emotional rollercoaster that defines those formative years into words — with high-octane anthems and pensive ballads sitting next to one another on the track-list. The album also demonstrates how far the five-member outfit has come since its debut, expanding its repertoire with sound, while retaining the smooth choreography and engaging performances that have become its calling card.
LYKN first debuted when its members — Nut, Hong, Tai, William, and Lego — emerged as winners of the GMMTV survival competition Project Alpha in 2023. Their rise has been attributed to their carefully constructed visuals, addictive sound, and a steadily expanding international fanbase. LYKN’s leading roles in television dramas such as ThamePo: Heart That Skips a Beat and popular variety programmes have further cemented their status as one of the country’s most promising new-generation acts.
With this debut studio album and a world tour denoting a major milestone in their career, LYKN looks poised to introduce even more audiences to the appeal of T-pop’s indelible siren call.
