  • ANTI:DOTE is located at Fairmont Singapore.

Those who think hotel bars are plain probably haven’t visited ANTI:DOTE with its apothecary-like approach to cocktails.

Rather than asking “What would you like to drink?”, the staff at ANTI:DOTE may ask “How are you feeling?” instead. The bar situated on the ground floor of Fairmont Singapore is less conventional than a typical hotel watering hole. Here, the concept frames its potent pours as remedies to soothe those afflicted by weariness within.

Drinks on the CURE:ALL menu are crafted by ANTI:DOTE’s Head Mixologist, Adonis Endozo Reyes, who brings with him nearly two decades of experience behind the counter at some of Singapore’s most acclaimed drinking spots, including Origin Bar and Long Bar at Raffles Singapore. And his talents speak for themselves. Since joining ANTI:DOTE, Reyes has placed it on the map with respected city guides frequently mentioning the bar. Beyond preparing drinks, Reyes is well-versed in the art of conversation. Thanks in part to his earlier ambitions as a stand-up comedian, guests will have plenty to praise beyond what they can taste when settling in for a drink.

Segmented into four parts referred to as “chapters”, the CURE:ALL menu categorises cocktails by their potency. Within the first chapter, named “The Quiet Remedy”, guests will find lighter, sweeter offerings such as the “Pretty Please”, made with Rémy Martin VSOP Cognac, ylang-ylang-infused milk, and lychee. There’s also the easily approachable “Divine Whisper”, featuring Patrón Silver Tequila, peach liqueur, tonic water, and a moringa with basil cordial. Cocktails become slightly more spirit-forward under “The Happy Edit”. Favourites include the “Glow Getter”, a sakura tea-infused Botanist Gin, aperitif wine, grapefruit, and Perrier sparkling water, and the “Wild Ride” that blends Jura 12 Whisky with moscato, lemon myrtle and sage-infused gin, honey, and citrus.

The headiest cocktails at ANTI:DOTE lie within the “Human After All” chapter, suggesting that sometimes, a stronger dose of booze is called for. Choose between the “Main Character Energy”, a concoction blending rye whiskey, vermouth, and a cherry-berry liqueur with verjus, or “Reverie”, an interesting tipple that brings together a peanut butter fat-washed Grey Goose Vodka, Michter’s Bourbon, and Disaronno Amaretto.

The twist comes at the end with the last chapter, “Clarity State”, dedicated to non-alcoholic drinks. Those who prefer something refreshing can consider the “Inner Bloom” with clarified lychee and ylang-ylang milk mingling with jasmine tea, citrus, and Perrier sparkling water. Those who prefer a more curiously layered mocktail might be drawn towards the “Mental Dawn” and its blend of alcohol-free Seedlip Grove 42 spirit, French Earl Grey tea syrup, citrus, and fermented strawberry with cucumber cordial.

Bar bites are also available, including sandwiches stuffed with Ibérico ham and Manchego cheese, and crispy shrimp croquettes. More substantial dishes for those dining while drinking can order off the Bigger Bites menu with Shaved Wagyu Steak on a Soft Roll and Angel Hair Pasta with Scallops and Guanciale. Or call it a night with a Cheese Platter and Snickers Ice Cream Bar.
