Hidden upstairs in the CBD, Confession Room blends grunge-leaning interiors with cocktails by an industry veteran.
Singapore can feel like a whirlwind on first arrival, all glass towers, fast footsteps and packed dining rooms. But between the attractions and hard-working streets, the city also hides pockets built for slowing down. Confession Room is one of them, a newly opened cocktail bar on Boon Tat Street that has been quietly building a following among locals and travellers who prefer their nights intimate rather than loud.
Set on the second floor, it is the sort of place you could walk past without noticing unless you are looking for it. That sense of discovery is part of the charm. Inside, the room feels deliberately scaled, with a look that leans into soft grunge, concrete textures, and low lighting, warmed by retro details that add personality without turning the space into a themed set. Even the VCR-inspired menus nod to nostalgia, making the experience playful while keeping the focus firmly on the drinks.
Behind the bar is Adonis Endozo Reyes, formerly of Shangri-La Singapore’s acclaimed Origin Bar, and his approach here is refreshingly direct. Rather than overwhelming guests with pages of options, the list centres on 10 signature cocktails, each priced at around S$22. The range runs from lighter, brighter sips to richer, deeper pours, so you can choose to start gently or lean into something more indulgent, depending on the mood you bring through the door. Those who prefer grapes over spirits are also covered, with a by-the-glass wine selection.

Confession Room Singapore is not just about cocktails, either. The kitchen offers comfort-led small plates and sharing-friendly mains that keep things easy. Expect favourites such as Truffle Fries and Corn Ribs, alongside heartier choices like Ribeye Steak and Chicken Adobo.
Whether you are visiting Singapore for the first time or you live in the city and want a new place to decompress, Confession Room delivers atmosphere, craft and a relaxed welcome.
