Hong Kong’s Bar Leone is heading to Singapore for a five-hour pop-up at Cygnet Bar.

Singapore’s cocktail scene has long been one of the most exciting in Asia, balancing premium hotel lounges with intimate neighbourhood bars that take mixology seriously. Across the city, drinks are approached with the same care and precision as a tasting menu, which is why news of this one-night-only takeover is likely to attract serious attention from the Lion City’s drinks crowd.

On 8 May 2026, Lorenzo Antinori, the bartender behind Hong Kong’s Bar Leone, will bring his acclaimed concept to Cygnet Bar at QT Hotel Singapore. The catch is that the experience will last for just five hours, running from 6pm to 11pm. That limited window is set to make this one of the most in-demand bar events of the season.

Fresh from being named No. 1 on The World’s 50 Best Bars 2025 list, Bar Leone has earned international recognition for a style that feels both refined and refreshingly unfussy. Antinori’s approach is rooted in classic cocktail culture, favouring balance, restraint and quality ingredients over unnecessary theatrics. It is a philosophy that has helped make Bar Leone one of the most talked-about drinking destinations in the region.

For the Singapore takeover, Cygnet Bar will be reimagined with the spirit of Rome’s Trastevere neighbourhood in mind, giving guests a transportive setting for the evening. The menu will feature six cocktails, including three signatures from Bar Leone and three new creations designed for the occasion.

Among the established favourites is the Fig Leaf Negroni, which adds a fragrant twist to the Italian classic. The Olive Oil Sour offers a richer, silkier serve with gentle banana notes, while the Caffe Paradiso combines amaro with repurposed banana rum for a drink that is slightly bitter, layered and mindful of waste. The newer additions bring a different energy to the line-up. Expect the Green and Gold Fizz, a bright blend of mango and passionfruit, Il Cacciatore, which leans savoury with hints of tomato, and the Pear and Shiso Gimlet, which promises a fresher, more aromatic profile.

To complement the cocktails, Cygnet Bar will serve a menu of New York-style bites, including lobster rolls, truffle fries and seaweed popcorn. Designed for sharing, the food offering enhances the sociable feel of an event expected to be lively from the moment the doors open.
