The destination brings together pickleball and padel courts, swimming facilities, and academies led by some of Singapore’s best-known sporting names.

Singapore’s sports and wellness scene is continuing to evolve, and the latest addition looks set to make a serious impression. Opening in Fernvale at the end of April 2026, The Sports Arina @ Jalan Kayu is shaping up to be a major new community hub, combining fitness, leisure and family-friendly programming under one roof.

Located next to Thanggam LRT station, the new venue has been designed as a one-stop destination for residents looking to stay active without having to travel across the city. Among its standout features is Singapore’s first air-conditioned pickleball and padel club, a move that should appeal to players keen to stay out of the heat while keeping up their game. Alongside its indoor pickleball, futsal and padel courts, the venue will also include badminton and table tennis courts, a gymnastics gym, a pilates studio, a multi-purpose hall, and a contrast therapy facility.

The line-up extends well beyond court sports. Families can also expect a swimming pool and a dedicated children’s training pool, creating a space that caters to a range of ages and skill levels. The broader ambition is to create a lifestyle-led venue designed to support everything from grassroots training to casual weekend activity.

One of the biggest draws is its academy programming, which will be led and endorsed by high-profile names in Singapore sport. Young swimmers will be able to learn through Swim Lab by Olympic gold medallist Joseph Schooling, while table tennis training will be overseen by an academy from triple Olympic medallist Feng Tian Wei. Football classes for children will also be offered through Lion City Sailors Football School, one of the best-known names in the Singapore Premier League.

The Sports Arina has also been planned with its residential setting in mind. Developers have incorporated soundproofing where needed, created a fully enclosed pickleball hall, and introduced greenery around the perimeter to help reduce noise levels and soften the impact of activity on nearby homes.

While the exact opening date has not yet been announced, anticipation is already building.
