From the silver screen to the world’s most sophisticated bars, the martini gets top billing on the menu of The Singapore Martini Club.
The Singapore Martini Club has opened its doors at Orchard Rendezvous Hotel, celebrating the cocktail that has appeared in the hands of Hollywood stars and fictional spies. From films such as All About Eve to the James Bond franchise, the martini has played numerous supporting roles over the years.
Now, this new bar is set to give the martini a leading role with a menu dedicated entirely to the tipple, and interiors befitting its cinematic presence. Led by veteran bartender and entrepreneur Dario Knox, The Singapore Martini Club is the latest venture backed by his 25 years of experience in the cocktail scene.

True to its name, The Singapore Martini Club takes the martini very seriously. On the menu are 50 versions of the cocktail, spanning timeless classics, contemporary expressions, and zero-proof options. Interestingly, the menu reads like a travel catalogue, taking guests on a global journey through flavour stops ranging from zesty and fruity creations to tea, savoury, herbal and pop-culture-inspired creations.
Among the signatures are the Karuizawa Martini, which combines vodka with green apple, shiso, celery and lime for a crisp, herbaceous take. The Mayfair Night Martini brings together gin, Earl Grey tea, violet and lemon, while the Tokyo Spice Martini tingles the palate with tequila, shichimi spice and lemon. For something decidedly more indulgent, the Swiss Choco Martini mixes vodka with cacao and PX sherry.

Then there is the Sub-Zero Dirty Martini, perhaps the bar’s most compelling serve. Made with a secret blend of gins, brines and dry vermouth, it is chilled below zero degrees Celsius and presented tableside. For the purist who swears by the classics, there is the Dry Martini, Vesper, Dirty Martini, and Gibson for consideration. And for those who prefer a bite between sips, there is a selection of tapas, desserts, and caviar bumps to complete the experience.

Beyond the glass, the martini deserves a setting that speaks to its refined brand. Designed to evoke the golden age of luxury rail travel, the interiors of The Singapore Martini Club resemble a vintage train carriage, complete with intimate booth seating, overhead suitcase racks, and handsome wood panelling. The result is a bar that feels less like a shrine to one cocktail and more like a playful journey through its transformable personalities.
