Disney’s global fan celebration will make its Asia debut in Singapore, bringing major reveals, immersive experiences and exclusive Disney+ previews to the region.


The magic of Disney is heading to Singapore. The Walt Disney Company has announced that D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will take place in the city in 2027, marking the first time the global fan celebration will be held in Singapore.

The event will bring together Disney fans for a multi-day celebration of storytelling, creativity and fandom. Visitors will be able to enjoy first-look reveals, live stage presentations, immersive experiences, character-led moments and specially curated merchandise, alongside appearances from stars, storytellers and creative talent from Hollywood and around the world.

D23 Asia is part of the global expansion of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club. Launched in 2009, D23 takes its name from the “D” in Disney and 1923, the year Walt Disney opened his first studio in Hollywood. Since then, D23 has grown into Disney’s flagship fan platform, with major events staged in Anaheim, California, and, more recently, Brazil.

The Singapore edition will be designed specifically for audiences in Asia, while staying true to the large-scale, fan-first format. Disney has also confirmed that D23 Asia will spotlight APAC Originals for Disney+, giving fans the chance to hear directly from the creative teams behind some of the region’s upcoming stories.

What Fans Can Look Forward To

Previous D23 editions have become famous for headline-making announcements across Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Disney Parks and Disney+. The Anaheim event has featured major studio presentations, talent appearances, behind-the-scenes showcases, rare archival material, immersive activations, and exclusive merchandise.

D23 Brazil, which marked another major international expansion, brought panels, presentations, performances, show-floor experiences, and exclusive products to São Paulo. That legacy suggests D23 Asia could become one of Singapore’s biggest pop culture events, combining blockbuster reveals with a strong regional focus and a shared sense of Disney nostalgia.
