Singapore, get ready for a cuteness overload. Universal Studios Singapore has launched a new Sanrio attraction in Sentosa, bringing some of the world’s most beloved characters into the heart of the Hollywood zone. From Hello Kitty and My Melody to Kuromi and Cinnamoroll, the new pastel-hued destination is designed for fans of kawaii culture, character-led experiences and theme park fun.
Located at Resorts World Sentosa, the Sanrio Universal Studios Singapore attraction combines retail, dining and photo-friendly moments in one colourful setting. It marks an exciting addition to Sentosa’s ever-growing line-up of family-friendly experiences and is already shaping up to be one of the newest things to do in Singapore for pop culture fans.
At the centre of the attraction is Superstar Boutique, a dedicated retail space filled with Sanrio-themed merchandise. Visitors can browse plush toys, apparel, accessories, collectables, and character-led souvenirs. For fans and collectors, the boutique also features exclusive Universal Studios Singapore x Sanrio items, making it a must-visit stop during a day at the park.

Opposite the boutique, Superstar Cafe brings the Sanrio world to the table. Created in collaboration with Sanrio, the café serves character-inspired desserts and drinks that nod to the personalities of its famous faces. Highlights include Swiss rolls, bombolone doughnuts, character lattes and fruity beverages, each designed with the brand’s signature charm.
The attraction has been created as an immersive Sanrio universe, where guests can shop, dine and interact with beloved characters in a curated environment. It taps into the growing popularity of experiential tourism, where visitors seek more than just rides and retail. Here, the appeal lies in the details, from the themed interiors to the exclusive merchandise and picture-perfect treats.
For Sentosa, the arrival of Sanrio adds another layer to its entertainment offering. The island is already home to beaches, hotels, attractions and world-class dining, and this new launch strengthens its reputation as a destination for families, fans and travellers seeking fun experiences in Singapore.
