Festive magic is back at The WB™ Abu Dhabi

Staying true to its reputation as one of the UAE’s most cinematic properties, The WB™ Abu Dhabi, Curio Collection by Hilton is marking year-end festivities with all manner of events that feature beloved characters, iconic films, and movie snacks — along with culinary feasts and countdowns to 2024, of course. Here they are at a glance.

Takeaway Turkey

Those looking to cancel out the culinary stress this festive season can enjoy the Christmas celebration with a classic holiday feast featuring a slow-roasted turkey accompanied by an array of sides and desserts in the comfort of their own home. These delicious turkeys are marinated in citrus and herbs, and delivered with cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, soft rolls, and multigrain rolls. 

Four side dishes can be chosen from a set menu, including Thyme and Butter Roasted Seasonal Mushrooms, Dry Fruit and Bread Stuffing, Honey Glazed Root Vegetables, Brussels Sprouts with Crispy Veal Bacon, Truffle Mashed Potato, Cauliflower and Broccoli Gratin, and Baked Macaroni and cheese. Diners looking to satisfy their sweet tooth can select two desserts from the menu, which features Traditional Caramel Chestnut Yule, Soft Christmas Pudding or Trifles, Christmas Stollens, or a selection of Christmas Cookies. The takeaway turkey will be available from 1 to 25 December from 10am to 10pm, and starts at AED 500 (serves four). Orders to be placed at least 24 hours in advance.

Christmas Tree Lighting

The festivities kick off with a dazzling Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony that’s set to unfold from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in the lobby of The WB™ Abu Dhabi, Curio Collection by Hilton on 8 December. Visitors can join in a chorus of Christmas carols led by a choir, while the little ones can make memories and enjoy photo opportunities with beloved characters like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. Festive goodies will be shared to end the evening’s celebrations on a sweet note.

Christmas Eve Dinner

Gather loved ones for a festive Christmas Eve celebration at the lively Sidekicks diner, where guests can indulge in a buffet featuring an array of appetisers and main courses inspired by cuisines from around the world. On offer will be live cooking stations, where skilled chefs will prepare carved holiday classics, fresh pasta, savoury pizzas, and grilled delights. Meanwhile, for the little ones, there will be a dedicated station with familiar favourites such as sweet potato fries and sliders as well as a selection of treats like doughnuts, cotton candy, and popcorn. Starting at AED 199 per person (including soft beverages), dinner will be served from 6:30pm to 10:30pm.

Christmas Eve Movie Night

Nothing compares to the joy of watching festive movies all snuggled up with loved ones on the night before Christmas, so gather your friends and family and head to The WB™ Abu Dhabi’s dive-in theatre, The Matinee. Here, visitors can relax on the loungers and watch iconic films that set the mood for the festive season while enjoying delicious snacks and beverages from the à la carte menu.

Christmas Roast

Tuck into a timeless appeal of traditional roast turkey, accompanied by universal favourites like Yorkshire pudding, duck fat potatoes, and roasted vegetables at The Director’s Club. Served from 1pm to 4pm on Christmas day, this hearty meal ranges from AED 170 per person (including soft beverages) to AED 375 per person (including premium beverages).

Christmas Day Lunch

For a relaxed Christmas lunch, head to the Sidekicks diner from 1pm to 4pm, where there will be an extensive buffet showcasing seasonal favourites, festive delicacies, desserts and more, all of which will be made more delightful thanks to meet-and-greets with iconic WB™ characters. Diners can mingle with Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Robin and Starfire as they drop in to share the Christmas spirit. The lunch starts at AED 199 per person, inclusive of soft beverages.

Glitter Dinner at The Director’s Club

As 2023 draws to a close, guests can raise their glasses of signature cocktails and relish an exquisite dinner of premium cuts in the company of friends and family at The Director’s Club. Ranging in price from AED 350 per person (including soft beverages) to AED 2,023 per person (gold package), dinner will be served from 5:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

Retro Party at Sidekicks

Guests can prepare to step back in time at the New Year’s Eve Retro extravaganza from 8pm to midnight at Sidekicks. An evening of celebratory nostalgia and throwbacks await, welcoming 2024 with a lively countdown, all while sharing the moment with the iconic WB™ Characters in residence. Prices start at AED 199 per person, inclusive of soft beverages.

New Year’s Eve Countdown

Welcome the arrival of 2024 at The Overlook, a buzzing rooftop lounge at The WB™ Abu Dhabi. Foodies can delight in a fusion of unlimited food while sipping on endless beverages. And as the clock strikes midnight, partygoers can groove to the beats of a live DJ and dance their way into the new year. Prices range from AED 285 to AED 400 per person.
