The UAE is turning up the volume this winter as This Is Michael returns to Etihad Arena on Yas Island. Taking place on Saturday, 30 January 2027, the live production in Abu Dhabi celebrates the music and moves of the legendary pop star Michael Jackson.
Presented by Live Nation Middle East, in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi, Miral and FACT Magazine, the show has already played to audiences across Europe and Latin America. This Is Michael has become one of the most successful live productions celebrating Michael Jackson in the world, having played to audiences across Europe and Latin America and sold more than 500,000 tickets globally.
At the heart of the production is performer Lenny Jay, who leads the show with live vocals, slick choreography and a striking resemblance to Michael Jackson. He will be joined by an international cast of dancers, singers and live musicians, bringing a concert-style spectacle to the capital.
After selling out Etihad Arena in August 2026, the two-hour production returns with more than 20 songs, multiple costume changes and a full-scale stage show designed to recreate the excitement of Michael Jackson’s legendary concerts. While the full Abu Dhabi setlist has not yet been confirmed, previous performances of This Is Michael have featured many of Michael Jackson’s defining hits, including “Billie Jean”, “Beat It”, “Thriller”, “Smooth Criminal”, “Bad”, “Black Or White”, “The Way You Make Me Feel”, “Man In The Mirror” and “They Don’t Care About Us.” Audiences can look forward to a setlist filled with era-defining hits, along with the instantly recognisable choreography, fashion and visuals that helped make Jackson one of the most influential entertainers of all time.
From moonwalks and military jackets to high-energy dance routines and powerhouse vocals, This Is Michael is designed as a celebration of the artist’s enduring legacy. The show aims to appeal to longtime fans as well as younger audiences discovering the music for the first time.
