The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2025 delivered one of the most gripping season finales the sport has seen in years.

Under the glow of the Yas Marina lights and before a packed international crowd, Britain’s Lando Norris claimed his first Formula 1 World Championship in a race that kept fans in suspense until the very last lap.

Norris needed third place to secure the title. Nothing less. The pressure was immense, and every corner carried the weight of a season. By the time he crossed the line, in exactly the position required, the McLaren garage erupted, and a new world champion was crowned. The final points tell the story of a season defined by tension and resilience. Norris ended the year with 423 points, edging past race winner Max Verstappen by only two points. A remarkable achievement considering Verstappen had clawed back more than a hundred points after the summer break in one of the most impressive comebacks of recent years.

A Weekend Where Sport Met Spectacle

Beyond the racing, Abu Dhabi delivered a cultural and entertainment programme that elevated the weekend into a festival of sport and style. Yas Island came alive with energy, music, and a constant flow of fans from around the world.

The Yasalam After Race Concerts once again proved why they are among the most anticipated events of the year. Post Malone brought chart-topping swagger, Metallica shook Etihad Park with a thunderous performance, and Katy Perry added pop glamour to a weekend already bursting with excitement.
The combination of record crowds, spectacular sunsets, and world-class hospitality reaffirmed Abu Dhabi as the natural home of the season finale.
