How to get your hands on the new Apple iPhone 15 in the UAE

Discover the groundbreaking new features, from spatial video to USB-C charging.

Apple lovers, it’s that time of the year. Apple has launched its new iPhones: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. In true Silicon Valley style, Apple held its annual product launch from the Steve Jobs Theater at its California headquarters and unveiled the new phones in all their tech-tastic glory.

Apple continues to push the boundaries of what is possible with a smartphone. Let’s be honest, making a call is probably the last thing you do with your phone. So, the cool new features include a 48MP camera with a triple-lens camera system. All new iPhone models also house A16 Bionic chips and feature Dynamic Island. As expected, lightning charges have been replaced with USB-C connectors on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

Elsewhere, the iPhone 15 Pro replaces the current mute button with an action button that allows users to conduct tasks such as putting the phone on silent or illuminating the torch with just a press. Apple also announced that the new iOS 17 software update will be released on Monday, 18 September, with macOS Sonoma following on 26 September.

Here’s what you need to know about the new Apple iPhone 15, and how you can get your hands on one in the UAE.

How much does the iPhone 15 cost in the UAE?

The new iPhone 15 starts from AED 3,399 and the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max start from AED 4,299. If you want to stay on trend, you can trade in your old iPhone for a shiny new one. When you trade in, this means that you take your old Apple products and use them to get money off of new products. So, depending on the model and the condition of your iPhone, you could save up to AED 3,650.

Where can I buy the iPhone 15 in the UAE?

In the UAE, you can pre-order the new iPhones from 4pm on 15 September. The iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be available from 15 September.

Pre-order your new iPhone online from www.apple.com/ae/ or the Apple app store. Plus, pre-orders are accepted at Apple Stores across the UAE including Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Yas Mall Abu Dhabi and The Galleria Al Maryah Island.

How is the new iPhone 15 designed?

Say hello to that signature, sleek Apple design. The new iPhone 15 line is as smart as ever, and features an aerospace‑grade titanium design. The iPhone 15 will be available in black, blue, green, pink and yellow, while the new iPhone 15 Pro will also be available in four textured titanium options: black, blue, natural and white.

The new iPhone family has grown up, as the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 offer a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max is 6.7 inches. If you want to put it into perspective, the largest iPhone is bigger than a ballpoint pen or dollar bill. Thanks to the new screen size, you can enjoy more content when browsing the web, so you can literally see more text and have a larger display to watch your favourite shows or play video games.

What new features are on the iPhone 15?

The iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max feature a 48MP camera, an innovative way to receive notifications and cutting-edge safety features.

The new iPhones will allow users to capture spatial video, bringing a 3D dimension to your memories which can be explored with the launch of Apple Vision Pro early next year.

Portrait Mode is a thing of the past. When your subject is a person, dog, or cat, iPhone 15 automatically records depth information. This means you can opt to view your photo instantly as a portrait with a stylish blur effect or add it later via the Photos app.

The new USB-C connector allows you to charge your Mac or iPad using the same cable you use for your iPhone 15. Moreover, you can also use your iPhone 15 to charge your Apple Watch or AirPods. Say farewell to cable clutter.

iOS 17 will bring new features and functionality to existing iPhone such as contact posters (a user-created poster that will be visible to contacts when they call), NameDrop (the ability to share contacts by placing two iPhones side by side), live stickers and the ability to let friends or family members known when you arrive safely at a destination.

Apple, we’re impressed.
