Abu Dhabi Collectors’ Week debuts from 2 to 5 December at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort.

Abu Dhabi continues to raise the bar for culture and luxury. This December, the capital welcomes Abu Dhabi Collectors’ Week, a new showcase that places the city on the global auction map. Hosted by Sotheby’s, the four-day programme will run from 2 to 5 December at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, combining high-stakes auctions with curated exhibitions, talks and private events.

The star of the sales is The Desert Rose, a 31.86-carat Fancy Vivid Orangy Pink Diamond, valued at between AED 18 million and AED 25 million. The jewellery roster grows even stronger with a single-owner collection of watches and jewels valued at over AED 73 million, alongside standout lots from leading Maisons. Timepiece collectors will also note a rare Rolex Oyster Albino Daytona, guided at over AED 3 million.

Motoring enthusiasts can look forward to a catalogue that includes a 2017 Pagani Zonda 760 Riviera and a 2010 Aston Martin One-77, as well as a trio of future McLaren competition cars, featuring a 2026 Formula 1 car. The week also extends into prime real estate and design, reinforcing Sotheby’s cross-category appeal for both serious buyers and curious newcomers.

Beyond the gavel, Abu Dhabi Collectors’ Week is designed as a full experience. Visitors can tour exhibitions, attend conversations with specialists and meet an international community of collectors. The aim is to make world-class objects accessible while maintaining the rigour and discretion that define a top-tier auction.

Sotheby’s brings more than two centuries of expertise across fine art, jewellery, watches, collector cars and luxury property. Since opening its Dubai showroom in 2017, the auction house has deepened ties with the region’s growing collector base. The launch of Collectors’ Week in Abu Dhabi is a natural next step, and a statement of intent for the capital’s cultural calendar.

Whether you collect, aspire to bid, or simply appreciate beautiful things, this is one date to circle in December.
