The Grammy-winning guitarist will perform for one night only on Saturday, 24 January 2026.
The capital’s open-air concert season is set for a star turn as John Mayer makes his long-awaited Abu Dhabi debut at Saadiyat Nights on Saturday, 24 January 2026. The third edition of the island’s alfresco series promises a night of virtuoso guitar work and crowd-pleasing hits under the stars.
For the uninitiated, Mayer was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and rose to fame with the 2001 album Room for Squares. Across a career spanning more than two decades, he has collected seven Grammy Awards and delivered era-defining hits, including “No Such Thing,” “Daughters,” “Gravity,” “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room,” and “Waiting on the World to Change.” Expect a set that moves between pop confessionals, blues-leaning jams and pristine radio anthems.
While this is his first performance in the capital, Mayer does have history with the UAE. His last show in the country was at Dubai’s Desert Rhythm Festival in 2006, making this return a full twenty years in the making and one that will resonate with longtime fans and new listeners alike.
Part of a stacked Saadiyat Nights lineup, Mayer’s date joins previously announced shows from Lewis Capaldi and Ricky Martin, cementing the series as one of the region’s most anticipated live music programmes. Known for its open-air atmosphere under the stars, the concert promises a memorable night.
Tickets to see John Mayer live in Abu Dhabi are now available, starting from AED 295.
