African meets Arabic chic at the new R&B Grillhouse in Abu Dhabi

The new venue opens this month.

If you want to unleash your inner carnivore, we have some exciting news. R&B Grillhouse is coming to Abu Dhabi and is set to serve meat, glorious meat. The restaurant is opening in Marsa Al Bateen Wharf and looks set to be a stylish spot.

R&B Grillhouse has been created by the Ribs & Burgers team. As the name suggests, the brand is famous for creating fresh burgers and slow-cooked ribs, and pride themselves on using hormone-free, pure beef patties. The bites include Cloud Chicken, Flame Grilled Chicken Wings, Grilled Prawns Brochette, and Southern Style Chicken. The salads include a Classic Caesar Salad, Greek Garden Salad, and Village Halloumi Salad. The mains include burgers, fish and meat dishes.

R&B Grillhouse has been designed by the Australian architectural firm, Design Partnership. The firm have taken traditional Arabic features and elevated them to create a contemporary, classy restaurant.

R&B Grillhouse is inspired by architectural monuments in North Africa and the Persian Gulf. The space includes clay breeze blocks, mud finishes, stone floors and wattle weaves. Plus, the décor draws from an earthy, natural palette and is filled with colours ranging from beige to terracotta.

R&B Grillhouse includes a stunning skylight view, but visitors don’t have to worry about the heat. The designers have created a state-of-the-art natural cooling system to keep the temperature breezy throughout the summer months.

Design Partnership is also behind hospitality hits that include Hunter & Barrel in Yas Bay Abu Dhabi, The Hills Dubai and Mirdif Dubai.
