Broadway in Abu Dhabi: The curtain rises on a new restaurant in Emirates Palace

Opening in October, the creative concept brings old-school glamour to the capital.

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi is home to critically acclaimed restaurants. Now, it is set to launch a new concept, Broadway. The venue will boast old-school glamour and world-class entertainment. Here’s what you need to know about the homegrown restaurant, which will open this year.

Broadway aims to combine flavours from around the world with the razzamatazz of Broadway. As the name suggests, the venue will be a nod to New York’s theatre capital, which has welcomed world-famous shows ranging from Hamilton to The Phantom of the Opera. Drawing inspiration from the theatre, it will be buzzing with entertainment, and include live shows as well as a party atmosphere. The entertainment will range from 1920s-inspired sets to high-energy DJs.

Broadway can accommodate up to 270 guests, and spans indoor and outdoor seating. Great for groups, there are communal tables and sharing dishes. The menu includes Beef Wellington, Escargot, Smashed Burgers, Sticky Toffee Pudding and Chocolate Peanut Butter Tart.

The brewery gallery includes rustic barrels and mixologists. Guests can choose from an extensive drinks list with non-alcoholic drinks, wines by the glass, and craft beers that showcase microbreweries.

Emirates Palace recently rebranded to Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental. The hotel changed ownership from Kempinski to Mandarin Oriental. The building was originally built to host heads of state and royalty, and the iconic hotel first opened in 2005. Plus, when it changed management, it underwent renovations.

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental is home to a range of restaurants. The restaurants include the FACT Award-winning Hakkasan for upscale Chinese fare, and Talea by Antonio Guida for authentic Italian delights. Other options include Martabaan by Hemant Oberoi with a contemporary take on classic Indian dishes and The Lebanese Terrace with Middle Eastern delicacies.
