Novikov is a restaurant brand with locations worldwide, spanning from Baku to Muscat. Now, the brand is expanding to Abu Dhabi, opening at The Galleria, Al Maryah Island, this June.
Unlike its Asian-inspired siblings, Novikov Abu Dhabi presents an entirely new concept, drawing inspiration from the sun-drenched coasts of Italy, France, Greece, Portugal and Spain. The result is a dining experience rooted in ingredient-led craftsmanship, Mediterranean elegance, and the cosmopolitan flair for which Novikov has become globally known.
Under the leadership of Executive Chef Marco Lubian and Head Chef Alberto Dorigo, the kitchen delivers a soulful interpretation of Mediterranean cuisine, spotlighting pristine produce sourced from the UAE and beyond.
Appetisers such as the creamy Buffalo Burrata and Beef Carpaccio with rocket, parmesan, and truffle set the tone for a meal centred on clean, expressive flavours. Signature mains include the Charcoal-Grilled Octopus, Lobster Linguini tossed in a vibrant tomato sauce, and the Mushroom & Truffle Risotto. In a nod to the brand’s heritage, a few select favourites from Novikov London appear on the menu, including Wagyu Tacos and the ever-popular Wasabi King Crab Leg.
An open kitchen anchors the venue, offering glimpses into the culinary theatre, while real olive trees bring a touch of the Mediterranean indoors. There’s a sleek bar, a warm dining room, and a refined private dining space. Hand-painted art, sculptural lighting, and a curated collection of curios add personality throughout. A stunning terrace, set to open later in the season, promises sunset views and al fresco charm overlooking the Al Maryah Island waterfront.
The Novikov Group was established in 1991 and has over 30 years of experience in the restaurant business, with nearly 100 successful concepts to its name and more than 300 restaurants. In 2011, the flagship Novikov restaurant opened in Mayfair, London. Now, it can be found across the world in AlUla, Baku, Bodrum, Istanbul, Jeddah, Miami, Moscow, Muscat and Porto Cervo. The celebrity clientele includes boxer Anthony Joshua, singer Justin Bieber, tennis star Novak Djokovic and Olympic champion Usain Bolt.
The Galleria, Al Maryah Island, is home to a range of restaurants, from casual to fine dining concepts. Novikov Abu Dhabi will be in good culinary company amongst 99 Suhsin Bar & Restaurant, COYA Abu Dhabi, La Petite Maison Abu Dhabi and Zuma Abu Dhabi.
