The Dubai-born concept is expanding to Al Qana this summer.
Dubai’s homegrown dining names such as BLU Pizzeriá and ‘Za ‘Za have been making their way to the capital, and now another popular concept is set to join the list. FACT award-winning Rascals Deli is preparing to open in Al Qana, giving Abu Dhabi its own outpost of the much-loved sandwich concept.
Set to open in summer 2026, the new branch will occupy a ground-floor spot in the popular waterfront destination. For Abu Dhabi diners, that means easier access to the stacked sandwiches that have built a loyal following in Dubai, without the need to travel down Sheikh Zayed Road.
Rascals Abu Dhabi is expected to follow the same formula that has made the original such a hit. Guests can look forward to Rascals’ signature line-up of statement sandwiches, made with thick pieces of bread and moreish fillings, alongside speciality coffee, drinks and desserts. Sandwich fillings are generous and tight, from peppery pastrami with sharp mustard to a cheesesteak that drips with onions and proper melt, while the drinks offering features favourites such as the Arnold Palmer, Biscoff Latte and Strawberry Dream.
This is not Rascals’ first taste of Abu Dhabi. In 2025, the concept drew sizeable crowds during a limited-time pop-up at LOCAL in Mamsha Saadiyat, where eager diners turned up to try the sandwiches that had already been generating serious momentum in Dubai.
Founded by friends Talal Hizami, Ramez Mikhail and Tarek Roumie, the concept began as a pop-up before growing into a cult-favourite deli known for its stacked sandwiches, specialty coffee and easy-going neighbourhood energy. The brand sits under TABLE4TWO, the hospitality group behind a growing portfolio of concepts in the UAE. Alongside the original Rascals Deli in Wasl Square, the group also operates Rascals Bakehouse, known for its cereal croissants and peanut butter oat latte, as well as Dime Burger, Apollo ’Za ‘Za Slice and the upcoming Levantine concept BASMA.
With a proven fan base, a strong brand identity and a location in one of the capital’s busiest lifestyle destinations, Rascals Abu Dhabi looks set to be one of the capital’s most talked-about casual openings.
