The Dubai-born pizza parlour is expanding to Al Qana, bringing its cult slices and queue-worthy menu to the capital.

Pizza is never in short supply in the UAE, but homegrown success stories still deserve attention, especially when they make the move to a new city. That is exactly what is happening with ‘Za ‘Za, the Dubai-born concept that has built a loyal following for its New York-style artisanal pizza. Now, the brand is preparing to open in Abu Dhabi, with its first capital outpost set to open at Al Qana.

While the exact opening date has not yet been announced, the arrival of ‘Za ‘Za in Abu Dhabi is already likely to excite pizza fans across the capital. In Dubai, the concept has become known for its quality ingredients, bold flavours, and pizza served by the slice, in a setting that feels contemporary, casual, and full of energy. It is a formula that has clearly resonated, and one that is expected to carry over to the new venue.

The Abu Dhabi branch is tipped to reflect the same cool, unfussy atmosphere as its Dubai counterparts. Expect an urban pizzeria feel and a walk-in-only policy. It also means queues are likely, but for regulars, that has become part of the appeal.

At the heart of the concept is its New York-style artisanal pizza, available by the slice. The menu includes favourites such as the Tricolore, House Margherita, The Pepp and Trafuto, each offering its own take on the classic slice-shop format. One of the standout options is The Red, a hot honey pizza that strikes a crowd-pleasing balance between sweetness and spice. For those looking to finish on a more indulgent note, the Tres Leches Cake has also become a firm favourite.

Za Za Abu Dhabi

‘Za ‘Za comes from the team behind Apollo and Rascals Deli, a concept already known for its speciality coffee and sandwiches. With ‘Za ‘Za, Table4Two Group have taken that same attention to flavour, product and personality and translated it into a pizza-led concept.

With a strong following, a recognisable identity and a menu that has already proved popular in Dubai, ‘Za ‘Za’s Abu Dhabi expansion looks set to be one of the capital’s most talked-about casual dining openings. If the response in Dubai is anything to go by, Al Qana may soon have one of the city’s busiest new pizza addresses.
