A new coastal escape is coming to Abu Dhabi’s western shore, pairing private beachfront and floating villas with the brand’s hallmark rituals and Butler service.
Rashed Darwish Al Ketbi Commercial Investments and Marriott International have signed an agreement to bring the St. Regis brand to Mirfa in Abu Dhabi. Scheduled to open in 2029, The St. Regis Mirfa Beach Resort is envisioned as an all-villa, waterfront retreat that channels the brand’s timeless elegance while celebrating the natural calm of Abu Dhabi’s western coastline.
Set along a serene stretch of shoreline approximately 150 kilometres from the capital, Mirfa is known for its pristine beaches, rich cultural heritage, and a slower pace that suits long, sun-soaked stays. The new resort is expected to feature 63 private villas set directly on the sand and across the water. Designs will maximise sea views and easy outdoor living, with features such as floating pools, upper and lower decks, skylight flooring, shaded canopies and private lifts to heighten comfort and privacy.
Dining will be central to the experience, with a planned collection of restaurants alongside multiple swimming pools for families and adults. Wellness takes shape in a spa and fitness centre, while younger guests can look forward to a dedicated kids’ club. On the leisure side, a padel court nods to the region’s favourite racquet sport. True to the brand’s tradition, the resort will introduce St. Regis rituals and its signature Butler service, ensuring tailored care from arrival to departure.
“We continue to witness a robust appetite for luxury experiences across the UAE and look forward to introducing the St. Regis brand to the tranquil coastal enclave of Mirfa,” said Jerome Briet, Chief Development Officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International. “The St. Regis Mirfa Beach Resort, Abu Dhabi will offer a truly distinctive escape—one that honours the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage, while delivering the timeless elegance and bespoke service that define the St. Regis legacy.”
Mirfa’s relaxed charm, outdoor pursuits such as kayaking and fishing, and access to local landmarks, including Al Mirfa Fort, make it a fitting setting for a discreet hideaway. With an opening targeted for 2029, The St. Regis Mirfa Beach Resort, Abu Dhabi, aims to offer a refined coastal escape that blends privacy, place and polished service on the edge of the Arabian Gulf.
