A new late-night destination is set to land on Al Maryah Island.
Abu Dhabi loves a good bar, and the capital has been spoiling people with more and more stylish spots to sip, socialise, and soak in good vibes. Now, the next name to know is Bar Saikindo. Opening in November 2025 inside Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island, this intimate spot promises energy, craft and character in equal measure.
Described as a “modern homage to Japan’s izakaya spirit”, Bar Saikindo Abu Dhabi blends laid-back charm with high attention to detail. The concept draws inspiration from Japan’s listening bars, where music and mixology share the spotlight.
At the heart of Saikindō is Omotenashi, the Japanese art of wholehearted hospitality. Guests will be welcomed with complimentary bar snacks and guided by knowledgeable bartenders who anticipate needs with sincerity and detail. The drinks programme is led by Beverage Director Marco Corallo, whose pedigree spans Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach and London’s acclaimed Artesian, alongside Head Mixologist Ann Pinsuda, previously at Bangkok’s The Bamboo Bar. The duo will harness AI to translate tempo and tone into flavour, shaping cocktails that mirror sound. Seasonal Japanese ingredients will anchor the menu, and each serve will be offered in both spirited and free-spirited variations. Expect a thoughtful selection of Japanese cocktails, international spirits, sake, and shōchū, each pour tuned to the room’s rhythm.

Design cues draw from the Metabolism movement, known for modular, adaptable thinking, paired with the warmth of mid-century craftsmanship. Rich wooden panelling, bespoke acoustic treatments, embroidered wall coverings, and refined furnishings set an intimate yet social mood. A visual thread of classic spy elegance meets the rebellious spirit of Bosozoku culture, introduced through patterns, materials, and bespoke fashion pieces displayed in the space.
At the heart of the kitchen sits a yakitori grill, turning out signature skewers that are smoky, juicy and built for sharing. The menu will lean into Japanese-inspired small plates designed to match the drinks list, so expect balanced flavours, clean lines and seasonal touches that work across the table.

The soundtrack matters too. Vinyl takeovers, guest DJs, collectors’ nights, tastings, and masterclasses will offer deeper explorations into Japanese spirits and musical discovery.
The opening of Bar Saikindo Abu Dhabi adds fresh momentum to the hotel’s dining line-up, which already includes Al Meylas and Cafe Milano, Eclipse Terrace Lounge and the FACT award-winning Butcher & Still. Final details on the full menu will be revealed closer to launch, but all signs point to a music-led bar with confident flavours and an easygoing edge.
