Abu Dhabi House Movement is teaming up with the company.
Let’s get loud, Abu Dhabi. Ministry of Sound and Abu Dhabi House Movement have joined forces to create a new series of music events. The dates and full details are still under wraps, but here’s what we do know.
The team behind Ministry of Sound aims to bring the atmosphere of the world-famous London club to new audiences around the globe – and Abu Dhabi has been chosen as a key location. The events will showcase world-class house music, delivered in exciting cultural destinations.
Ministry of Sound and Abu Dhabi House Movement will present a carefully curated line-up, featuring both local and international acts. Performances will take place in venues equipped with state-of-the-art production.
Ministry of Sound began in 1991. DJ and nightclub owner Justin Berkmann was inspired by New York’s nightlife scene, particularly the legendary Paradise Garage, and aimed to bring that spirit to London. After walking past the Ministry of Defence building, he found the inspiration for the club’s name.
On the opening night of Ministry of Sound, the line-up included Paul Oakenfold, David Morales, Roger Sanchez and Tony Humphries. Big name DJs from around the world have played at the venue.
Today, Ministry of Sound has evolved into a music publishing business, a fitness studio, and a members’ space. Located in Elephant and Castle, The Ministry has also become the go-to co-working space for the FACT team in London. The space includes meeting rooms, a gym, restaurant, bar and outdoor terrace.
