The French crystal house is making its Abu Dhabi debut with Baccarat Residences Saadiyat, an ultra-exclusive collection of homes with blockbuster views of the capital’s cultural landmarks.
Abu Dhabi’s appetite for branded living shows no signs of slowing, and the latest name to join the capital’s growing line-up is Baccarat. Baccarat Residences Saadiyat will introduce the storied French maison to Abu Dhabi for the first time, planting its flag in the Saadiyat Cultural District. The superb setting offers uninterrupted vistas across Louvre Abu Dhabi, the upcoming Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, and the Arabian Sea.
Architecture is being handled by Sou Fujimoto Architects, in what is billed as the studio’s first residential project in the UAE. The concept takes cues from Saadiyat’s shoreline, translating the island’s natural rhythm into a sculptural, twin-building design defined by fluid curves and a softer relationship with the landscape.
Exclusivity is baked into the numbers. The project comprises 77 residences in total, spanning two- and three-bedroom apartments, four-bedroom sky villas, and two signature penthouses. Interiors are set to feature understated references to Baccarat’s crystal heritage, with finishes designed to feel refined rather than theatrical.
Beyond the front door, residents can expect a private, hotel-style ecosystem: a spa and wellness centre with treatment rooms, a fitness suite, relaxation spaces and a rain room, plus an infinity pool framed by landscaped gardens and private cabanas. A 24-hour concierge and valet offering rounds out the proposition, with services ranging from private dining to travel planning, alongside access to curated Baccarat experiences and tailored design consultations.
A completion date has yet to be confirmed, but the wider Saadiyat story continues to gather pace, with beaches, championship golf, and leading institutions such as NYU Abu Dhabi and Cranleigh Abu Dhabi already anchoring the neighbourhood.
