The football club’s brand is moving beyond the pitch with a waterfront community on Yas Island.

The UAE’s real estate scene rarely slows down, but a branded project tied to one of the world’s most recognisable football clubs is guaranteed to turn heads. Manchester City Residences are officially coming to Abu Dhabi, with a new development announced for the Yas Canal waterfront on Yas Island.

Manchester City Yas Residences by Ohana in Abu Dhabi is being positioned as more than a collection of high-end homes. Spanning 1.67 million square metres, the masterplan is pitched as a lifestyle-led community that blends residential living with sport, wellness, and leisure in one destination.

At its core will be a selection of villas, townhouses, and premium Manchester City-branded apartments, designed for residents who want the convenience of a managed community with the cachet of a global name attached. A central branded park is set to anchor the neighbourhood, with landscaped gardens, family-friendly play areas, sports zones, and social spaces designed to foster a sense of community.

One of the key differentiators is the promise of a fully integrated Manchester City-branded sports academy. The academy concept aims to reflect Manchester City’s training standards, offering professional football and multi-sport facilities, alongside fan-facing touches such as signed memorabilia and a trophy gallery celebrating the club’s achievements.

Residents can expect a slate of luxury-focused facilities, including oxygen therapy and hydrotherapy, fully equipped gyms, fitness studios, and specialised altitude and heat wellness rooms. Outdoors, the experience continues with canal-side water sports, recovery areas, and rooftop swimming pools.

Retail and dining are also part of the plan, with cafes and restaurant concepts expected to line the development’s lifestyle offering.

Manchester City’s ties to Abu Dhabi are already well established, and the development builds on that relationship. The Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup has become one of the region’s biggest youth football tournaments, attracting thousands of players from the UAE and beyond.
