Learn to sing and dance like BTS and BLACKPINK.
If you know your BTS from BLACKPINK, then we’ve got music to your ears. Dee Studio is transforming into a K-Pop academy from 20 to 22 August, with workshops created in partnership with the Korean Cultural Center and South Korea’s Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts (DIMA). Here’s what you need to know about K-Pop Academy X DIMA Dream School.
Budding K-Pop stars are in good hands. DIMA is the same institution behind K-Pop artists including Kwon Eunbi, SEVENTEEN, and ZEROBASEONE. This marks DIMA’s first visit to Abu Dhabi, so make the most of having the experts in town.
K-Pop Academy X DIMA Dream School is free to attend. Participants will learn how to sing, dance, and produce videos, with DIMA’s professors and student artists on hand to offer expert guidance.
During the workshop, you’ll learn routines to BTS’ I Need You, BLACKPINK’s Jump, and NewJeans’ Super Shy. Plus, expect songs from the upcoming Netflix animation K-Pop Demon Hunters – so get practising and memorising those lyrics.
Youth classes take place on 20 August. Participants will take part in a dance session from 1pm to 3pm, and a vocal session from 3pm to 4.30pm. Both are inspired by HUNTR/X and BTS. Adult classes take place on 21 August. The workshops include a BLACKPINK-themed dance class from 1pm to 3pm, and BTS vocal session from 3pm to 4.30pm. Kids classes take place on 22 August. The focus is on performance and video production.
Registration is open now for K-Pop Academy X DIMA Dream School. Check in with FACT for the best things to do in Abu Dhabi.
