Heritage and modernity combine in Al Ain Oasis.
Al Ain in the UAE has undergone a dazzling redevelopment, thanks to Al Ain City Municipality and Eagle Hills. The area has now been reimagined with a host of cafés, restaurants and lifestyle offerings.
This revitalisation supports Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030, which aims to position the Al Ain region as a destination for culture, wellness and adventure. At the heart of the redevelopment is a carefully curated culinary offering, featuring a collection of cafés and restaurants, many of which are appearing in Al Ain for the very first time. The venues include Around The Block, Daily Press, Dialogue, FLTR, Klay, La Gente, Public, Rain and Sillage.
Set among the city’s iconic palm groves and falaj waterways, the reimagined Oasis will become a vibrant cultural destination, beautifully blending heritage, nature and contemporary experiences. Guests can enjoy dining experiences overlooking lush greenery, seamlessly combining food, landscape and leisure.
Highlights include a striking new Elevated Walkway, offering views above the palm canopy, and a new Watchtower providing sweeping panoramas. New areas, such as the Reflection, Ripple, and Mist Gardens, offer shaded, immersive spaces inspired by the site’s natural character.
As evening falls, bespoke light installations bring the Oasis to life, creating a magical, multi-sensory atmosphere. Enhanced pathways transform the site into an enchanting place to explore after dark.
Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Eagle Hills, said: “Al Ain Oasis is one of the most sacred landscapes in our nation’s memory, and a true natural and cultural treasure. We are proud to introduce a new chapter that will enrich the visitor experience and allow guests to appreciate its beauty in new ways. Our aim is to reinforce Al Ain Oasis as a cultural anchor and an unforgettable destination that every visitor will hold close to their hearts.”
Rashed Musabbeh Al Manei, Director General of Al Ain City Municipality, added: “The Al Ain Oasis project marks an important milestone in showcasing the oasis’s historical and environmental value, while enhancing its position as a leading cultural and tourism destination. We remain committed to working with partners such as Eagle Hills to deliver innovative projects that reflect the authenticity of Emirati heritage and the natural beauty of Al Ain.”
