This new lifestyle destination brings together laid-back cafés, creative concepts, and marina living in a single waterfront setting.

Abu Dhabi is no stranger to destinations that balance calm surroundings with a luxury lifestyle offering, and Saadiyat Island has long stood out for doing exactly that. Known for its beautiful beaches, cultural attractions and slower pace, the island continues to evolve. Now, it has a fresh addition to its growing lifestyle scene: Saadiyat Marina.

Set along the waterfront, Saadiyat Marina is shaping up to be one of the capital’s most appealing new addresses for dining, leisure and easygoing escapes. Framed by views of the water, bobbing boats and natural mangroves, the destination captures the tranquil charm that has made Saadiyat Island such a draw. Better still, it is only a three-minute drive from Sheikh Khalifa Highway.

Much of the appeal lies in its atmosphere. Saadiyat Marina is ideal for a coffee, a catch-up or a leisurely walk by the water, leaning into a relaxed rhythm that feels distinctly different from the capital’s busier social hubs.

Among the first venues to open is MILL Cafe, which fits seamlessly into the marina’s mellow mood. Ideal for slow mornings and laid-back evenings, it offers a cosy waterside setting that invites guests to linger. Inside, the space pairs glossy mocha zellige tiles, olive plaster walls, terrazzo flooring, and brushed steel, creating a polished, contemporary feel. Cuisine-wise, think elevated café fare with pancakes, egg dishes and desserts, anchored around speciality coffee. For signature orders, the Mill Cake, Iced V60 and coconut pudding have already emerged as popular picks.

Adding a more creative edge is Next Door, a concept that blends a bar with a retail experience. Part slow bar, part concept store, it offers something a little more artistic and unconventional. Early glimpses suggest a cosy, intimate setting with an artsy edge, making it well-suited to low-key evenings that lean towards speciality coffee and sweet treats.

There is also more to come. Meylasna is expected to join the line-up soon, bringing a café concept centred around Arabic beverages and a sense of place. This modern gathering spot rooted in Emirati culture will offer warm, majlis-inspired interiors, Arabic beverages and a menu built around comforting classics such as Chbaab, Harees, Machboos and Luqaimat.

Beyond its food and beverage concepts, Saadiyat Marina is a fully operational marina with mooring facilities. Its prime position provides convenient access to nearby islands, while future residential and recreational developments suggest this is only the beginning.
