Tiffany & Co. and Design Commission Abu Dhabi have launched a six-month design residency.
The programme runs in Abu Dhabi from November 2026 to April 2027.
Applications are open to UAE residents until 20 September 2026.
The six-month programme will combine Emirati culture with Tiffany’s jewellery and watchmaking expertise.
Abu Dhabi’s creative scene continues to grow, and a new opportunity is putting the spotlight on the next generation of jewellery and watch designers. Design Commission Abu Dhabi (DCAD) has partnered with Tiffany & Co. to launch a six-month design residency in the UAE capital.
Running from November 2026 to April 2027, the programme will bring together Emirati culture, architecture and heritage with Tiffany & Co.’s nearly two centuries of design knowledge. Created for emerging talent, the residency will give participants an opportunity to explore the creative and technical processes behind jewellery and watch design.
Throughout the programme, designers will examine materials, craftsmanship, creative storytelling and the practical considerations involved in transforming an idea into a finished piece. Participants will also have opportunities to develop their individual design language while learning within established creative institutions.
Weekly sessions will take place every Saturday at a dedicated venue in Abu Dhabi. The programme will include workshops, mentoring and specialist sessions led by experts from Tiffany & Co., offering participants insight into different areas of the design process.
The residency will culminate in a Capstone Exhibition in May 2027, where participants will present the work developed during the programme. The exhibition will provide a platform for the designers to share their ideas and showcase how their projects have evolved throughout the six-month experience.
The Tiffany & Co Abu Dhabi programme is open to UAE residents of all nationalities who have foundational knowledge of jewellery and/or watch design. Applications opened on Monday, 17 August and will remain available until Sunday, 20 September 2026.
Applicants are required to submit a portfolio through the official Design Commission Abu Dhabi website.
