For the very first time in the Middle East, We Are Ona, the globally renowned pop-up dining collective founded by culinary creative director Luca Pronzato, is bringing its signature immersive dining philosophy to Abu Dhabi. Joining him is Chef Solemann Haddad of Moonrise, which is a recent FACT award winner.
Together, they introduce The Smoke Dome, which is a temporary gastronomic installation designed to blur the line between cooking, ritual, and environment. The collaboration is part of Manar Abu Dhabi — an event that celebrates light, place, and creativity across the emirate.
The pop-up is set on Jubail Island. Known for its mangroves, wildlife, and serene atmosphere, it provides the perfect backdrop for a dining experience that aims to intertwine earth and sky. You dine inside this custom-built environment where open fire cooking techniques take center stage with shadows, smoke and scene, creating an immersive ambiance.
The menu features a six-course dinner, crafted by Chef Solemann Haddad, which is designed to reflect his signature fusion of regional roots and cosmic imagination. Plus, with the backdrop of the stars, this is truly in line with Manar Abu Dhabi.
