This Yas Island brunch is reinventing family-fun in the capital

Yas Plaza Hotels celebrates the return of the alfresco dining season with a refreshed look and a welcome return for the ridiculously popular “Daydream Brunch” at Stills Gastropub, Crowne Plaza Yas Island.
In addition to the expected games, live music and barbecue stations, for which this particular brunch is renowned, the Daydream Brunch also features great food, a fun vibe for both adults and children, plus live entertainment by Nicola Warwick.
Stills Gastropub boasts the longest bar in the capital (clocking in at a whopping 26-metres in length). The venue is led by culinary mastermind Chef Krishna Jadhav, who honed his skills at Gordon Ramsay Plane Food Restaurant in London and attended the famed chef’s Beef Wellington Masterclass at Heddon Street Kitchen, before taking over the helm of Still’s kitchen. He brings a wealth of knowledge and an exciting farm-to-table philosophy to the Daydream Drunch, which features high-quality ingredients and wholesome food in a casual and laidback setting.
Begin brunch with garden-fresh salads featuring greens handpicked from Stills’ garden. Then, grab house-baked bread or pastries from the on-site bakery while chefs behind the counter prepare hot and cold dishes.
Live stations are abundant, including a Langos station (Hungarian deep-fried flatbread), alongside breakfast favourites like waffles and eggs Benedict. An oyster bar supplied by local oysters farmers, Dibba Bay, is also available.
It wouldn’t be brunch at Stills without the popular barbecue station, which will serve chargrilled beef brisket, succulent meats and grilled seafood this season.
The Daydream brunch is a family-friendly event and features a dedicated kids’ buffet. Expect fun activities that will keep little ones busy while igniting their creativity. There will also be music from Nicola Warwick, the lead singer of The International Playboys. To keep the vibe elevated, DJ James Murray will be providing post-brunch beats for those not ready to go home.
Whether dining inside or soaking up the views of the golf course and the Arabian Gulf from the expansive terrace, the Daydream brunch is reinventing Friday fun.
The Daydream brunch occurs on Fridays, from 12:30pm to 4pm, followed by the after-brunch party, Top of the Pops, from 4pm to 8pm. AED 169 per person (soft beverages), AED 269 (house beverages) and AED 69 (children aged six to twelve years). Extend the dream with the after-brunch party at AED 149 per person.
