50 Cent to perform at the World Tennis League in Abu Dhabi

The rapper is coming to the capital in December.

Tennis fans, listen up — the World Tennis League is gearing up to return for its second season, this time taking over Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi from 21 to 24 December 2023. For the uninitiated, the event combines the world’s top professional tennis players in an engaging team-driven format alongside electrifying concerts, culminating into what has been dubbed ‘The Greatest Show on Court’.

As for who’s taking the stage this year? The rapper 50 Cent – real name Curtis Jackson III – will be performing at Etihad on Thursday, 21 December. The platinum-selling superstar will take to the stage in the capital as part of the World Tennis League concert series, so get ready to sing along to his hits ranging from In Da Club to Candy Shop

The New York rapper rose to fame back in 2002, as he was discovered by Eminem and signed to Shady Records. His first album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ sold more than 30 million copies and received numerous awards and accolades. The album spawned the hit single In Da Club and established 50 Cent as a leading figure in the hip-hop industry. He became known for his gritty, autobiographical lyrics that often reflected his experiences growing up in a challenging environment.

In addition to his music career, 50 Cent has ventured into acting, appearing in films like Get Rich or Die Tryin‘ and the hit TV series Power, where he also served as an executive producer. He has dabbled in entrepreneurship, with interests in fashion, beverage, and technology businesses. More recently, the rapper performed alongside Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige and Snoop Dogg at the Super Bowl 2022 halftime show.

50 Cent joins UB40, The Original Wailers and Trojan Sound System at the World Tennis League in Abu Dhabi. The three bands will perform in a special Reggae Night concert on Saturday, 23 December.
