Catch boyband Backstreet Boys in Abu Dhabi and Jeddah
Nineties kids, unite – this is going to be larger than life.
Backstreet’s back. One of the biggest-selling boybands of all time is coming to the Middle East. The American pop group Backstreet Boys will perform at Etihad Arena on Sunday, 7 May and the F1 Concert Zone in Jeddah on Thursday, 11 May 2023. Here’s what to expect from the fabulous fivesome.
Nineties kids will be buzzing with excitement, as this is your chance to see Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson. The group formed in Orlando, Florida in the early nineties. Following the release of their first album Backstreet Boys in 1996, they went on to top the charts and capture the hearts of the BSM Army.
We’re expecting them to play their greatest hits including We’ve Got It Goin’ On, Quit Playing Games (With My Heart), Everybody (Backstreet’s Back) and As Long As You Love Me. Plus, the classic I Want It That Way, which has been streamed more than one billion times on Spotify.
Over the group’s career, they have sold more than 100 million records worldwide. They received nine Grammy Award nominations. Plus, they have won Billboard Music Awards, Juno Awards and MTV Video Music Awards.
Backstreet Boys are no strangers to the Middle East. The group came to Dubai Media City Amphitheatre back in 2018, as part of the Blended Music Festival.
“We are so excited to announce the Middle Eastern, African and Indian leg of THE BACKSTREET BOYS DNA WORLD TOUR! Between the 1st and 19th of May, Backstreet Boys will be performing in seven countries including Egypt, The UAE, and Saudi Arabia,” event organizer Live National announced on Instagram.
Originally set to complete their DNA World Tour in Hong Kong on 15 March, the boyband announced additional dates for 2023, including Abu Dhabi, Cairo and Jeddah.
Tickets for both the KSA and UAE shows will be on sale from Friday, 24 February at 12pm.
If you love live music, then you’re in for a treat. There are a whole range of exciting artists coming to the UAE. American superstar Demi Lovato announced that they will perform at Coca-Cola Arena Dubai on 18 March.
As for festivals, Wireless Festival’s line-up includes M.I.A., Travis Scott and Lil Uzi Vert, and takes place on 11 March. Plus, Abu Dhabi Festival’s Emirate Palace concerts include Gregory Porter, Jian Wang and Juan Diego Flórez, taking place across March.
