Fontana in Dubai: The city welcomes its first water circus

Prepare to be wowed by stunts and special effects.

Fontana, a new water circus, is already making a splash. We are buzzing with excitement as Cirque du Liban, the Middle East’s first travelling water circus, have put together a show bursting with spectacular stunts and amazing aerialists. If you want to catch a performance, Fontana is heading to Dubai Festival City Mall’s Festival Bay from 29 September.

This is the first time that Cirque du Liban are coming to Dubai. As Fontana is so unique, it will take place in the tailor-made Aquatic Theatre. The big top tent has seats arranged in a grand-stand format, so you won’t miss a drop of the water-packed action.

The thrilling theatrics range from a dancing musical fountain to motorcycle stunts. During the show, you’ll be wowed by a range of circus performers including dancers, aerialists and good old-fashioned clowns.

Thierry Antonios, managing partner of Hat Entertainment, said: “Following the massive success of the show across the Middle East, including sold-out dates in Lebanon, we are delighted to carry on Fontana’s impressive legacy by bringing it to the UAE.

“Festival Bay at Dubai Festival City Mall provides the perfect setting for Fontana’s state-of-the-art circus tent and Aquatic Theatre, and the show’s world-class line-up of performers cannot wait to amaze and entertain audiences in equal measure. We are looking forward to revealing more exciting details very soon, as we take Fontana to more amazing locations across the UAE soon, so stay tuned.”
