AAPE BY *A BATHING APE is stepping into the fitness space with the launch of its first-ever Gym Collection. Arriving for SS26, the new line marks a fresh chapter for the streetwear label, combining athletic functionality with the brand’s signature urban edge.
Known for its bold graphics and youth-focused streetwear, AAPE has now turned its attention to gym wear. The debut fitness collection blends technical design with a retro-inspired aesthetic, creating pieces that feel suitable for both training sessions and everyday styling. The result is a capsule that sits comfortably between performance wear and contemporary fashion.

To front the campaign, AAPE has brought together a strong cast of 15 Hong Kong talents, spanning actors, musicians, athletes and fitness figures. The line is modelled by actors Kevin Chu, a former swimmer; Tony Wu, a former baseball player; Locker; Angus Yeung; Himmy Wong; and Martin Wong. The campaign also features musicians including Eddie from 24 Herbs, Ada and Macy from VIVA, Teller, Hayson Kwok and Roberto Ma.
Adding to the sporting credentials are Hong Kong badminton player Lee Cheuk Yiu, skater Chun Chai and gym coach Elvis Lam. Together, the group reflects the collection’s appeal across sport, music and street culture, while showing how fitness wear can be both practical and fashion-forward.

The design details are central to the collection. Specialised washing treatments have been used across the line to create a faded, vintage finish, giving each piece a worn-in feel. The capsule is also rooted in utility, with outerwear and bottoms featuring a durable TEFLON coating that helps protect against water, grease and grime, while still allowing the body to breathe.
Base layers are crafted from advanced COOL TOUCH textiles, designed to wick moisture away from the skin and dry quickly. The fabric offers an immediate cooling sensation, making it suitable for high-intensity workouts and long days on the move.

The SS26 GYM Collection also introduces AAPE’s new AAPE UNION insignia in a vivid purple shade. Meanwhile, the brand’s MOON FACE logo has been updated with reflective materials to improve visibility during night-time exercise and outdoor training.
The AAPE BY *A BATHING APE SS26 GYM Collection launches on 24 April 2026 online and at AAPE stores. Early shoppers will also receive a complimentary GYM towel with purchase.
