British supermodel Naomi Campbell launches a talent agency in Dubai

PrettyLittleThing’s CEO Umar Kamani partners with the model.

British supermodel Naomi Campbell has been turning heads in Dubai. Not only was she spotted at the opening of One&Only One Zabe’eel, but she has announced that she is opening a talent agency in the city. She will be partnering with PrettyLittleThing’s CEO, Umar Kamani.

Umar told Arabian Business: “Myself and Naomi are in the process now of starting a talent management company. We feel there is an opportunity to bridge some gaps in the current talent management world.”

The model is no stranger to spotting talent. She previously was a mentor on the show, The Face. The participants were mentored by models, and the prize was the chance to be the face of a make-up brand.

Naomi Campbell hails from Streatham, London. She herself was scouted while she was still a student and shopping in Covent Garden, London. She was studying to be a dancer at Italia Conti Academy, and then switched careers to be a model. Before her 16th birthday, she appeared on the cover of British Elle

Over Naomi’s career, she has been one of the biggest models in the fashion industry. She has appeared on the cover of American Vogue, British Vogue and Time. She has walked the runway for the biggest names including Karl Lagerfeld, Louis Vuitton, Valentino and Versace. She has appeared in advertising campaigns for countless brands including Burberry, Fendi, Givenchy and Tommy Hilfiger. Plus, she has been an advocate for diversity in the fashion industry.
