Do you know your Air Jordans from your Yeezys? Well, we have some exciting news. Sneaker Con is taking place across the world and describes itself as the greatest sneaker show on Earth. So, if you’re looking for trendy trainers (and an excuse for a trip), here’s what you need to know.
Sneaker Con was founded in 2008 by Alan Vinogradov, Barris Vinogradov and Yu-Ming Wu, and aims to be a must-visit destination for the sneaker community. Today, the event brings together more than 4,000 exhibitors and takes place across 30 cities, ranging from America to Asia. Plus, the event attracts more than 300,000 visitors.
So far, the event has taken place in Singapore’s Singapore Expo. While it hasn’t touched down in the Middle East, upcoming events include Sneaker Con Detroit on 29 April, Sneaker Con Honolulu on 6 May, and Sneaker Con Taipei from 5 to 6 August.
The convention features its trademark Trading Pit. Visitors can buy, sell, and trade some of the most coveted sneakers and collectibles. Plus, there are auctions on exclusive sneakers. All of the events have special guests, which include fashion influencers. The Singapore event welcomed industry influencers Jeff Staple, SBTG, and TwoJsKicks.
If you’re after some sneaker inspiration, the sports brand adidas and fashion house Gucci have unveiled their new Spring / Summer 2023 collection. The line draws its inspiration from the past and future. The collection is available on the recently launched Confirmed app. The app gives users exclusive access to new releases, which means you never have to miss a drop.
