Superstar singer Beyoncé parts with adidas and joins Balmain

Renaissance Couture is a wearable album collection with 16 outfits.

Celebrities and fashion go together like Simon and Garfunkel or Dolce and Gabbana. Over the years, superstar singer Beyoncé has collaborated with the biggest brands, from Tiffany & Co. to Tommy Hilfiger. Now, it has been reported that the adidas and Ivy Park partnership has come to an end, and that she is launching a new Renaissance Couture line with Balmain.

Beyoncé is one the UAE’s celebrities of the moment, thanks to her showstopping performance at Atlantis The Royal’s The Grand Reveal. She is famous for her powerhouse vocals as well as her sense of fashion, from streetwear style to glamorous gown.

adidas X Ivy Park

In 2016, Beyoncé launched her fashion brand, Ivy Park. The original concept was a partnership with Philip Green, owner of the British brand Topshop. The brand is named after her daughter, Blue Ivy. Plus, it includes stylish apparel, activewear, swimwear and shoes.

In 2019, adidas and Ivy Park signed a partnership. Beyoncé was named the creative design partner, and oversaw the collection. At the time, she shared: “This is the partnership of a lifetime for me. adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries. We share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility at the forefront of business. I look forward to relaunching and expanding Ivy Park on a truly global scale with a proven, dynamic leader.”

While this hasn’t shaken Beyoncé fans like the changing Destiny’s Child line-up, it has got them wondering what’s next for the Ivy Park brand. The four-year contract between adidas and Ivy Park was set to end in 2023, and it is rumoured that the singer will now have complete control over the brand.

Renaissance Couture

Beyoncé is bringing it with the fashion news. If you love her latest Renaissance album – Break my Soul, anyone? – you can dress in the singer’s most OTT outfits. No, we’re not talking about the risqué album cover, but a new line created by Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing. The collection includes 16 outfits, and has been described as a wearable album.

If you want to get an idea of what they look like, Beyoncé is currently on the cover of Vogue France in the designs. She posted on Instagram: “Thank you Olivier Rousteing and Balmain for bringing Renaissance to life in couture. Designing alongside you was freeing – thank you for allowing me to celebrate the human form, to take artistic risks, to push boundaries and to freely express myself. To the Vogue France team, thank you for trusting in our vision and sharing it with the world.”

Will you be getting your Renaissance on?
