Get into the festive spirit with Expo City Winter Wonderland

There’ll be plenty of cheer including Christmas markets, carols by candlelight and a tree lighting ceremony.

Have you been wishing you could revisit the Dubai Expo? Well, Christmas has come early, as you can return to the site for delicious dining experiences and an exciting Christmas-inspired experience. Expo City Winter Wonderland runs from Friday, 15 December 2023 to Sunday, 7 January 2024, and transforms the site into a festive, family-friendly experience.

Expo City Winter Wonderland spans the Mobility District, the water feature and Al Wasl Plaza. The area will be home to chalet-style Christmas markets, traditional fairground games, a letter-to-Santa station and pine trees. Plus, there’ll be plenty of ways to get merry, as there’ll be hot chocolate, mince pies and, of course, mulled drinks.

Expo City Winter hosts plenty of Christmas events including Carols by Candlelight runs from 20 to 24 December, and there are nightly projection shows.

Add some sparkle to the season, and head down for the tree lighting ceremony. The glittering 52-foot tree Christmas tree is a must-visit sight, as it is expected to take centre stage in the dome.

Winter Camps are also expected to be announced for little ones aged between six and 12 years old. However, it’s not just kids that are catered for, but four-legged friends are welcome, too. The dog-friendly destination has designated stations offering complimentary bowls of water, dog treats and waste bags.

Expo City Dubai will also be the site of Dubai’s first mega music festival, UNTOLD Dubai.
