CITY INSIDER DUBAI: RENATA MESSARRA
Renata Messarra
Corporate Marketing Manager, Sunset Hospitality Group

Tell us more about your day-to-day role and what keeps it challenging and exciting?
I couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with Sunset Hospitality Group, the leaders in hospitality with 16 outlets in the region and more than 20 additional openings in the pipeline and a company that I call family. A new decade will start with inspiring days ahead of us and I am extremely proud to be appointed as corporate marketing manager. My work is about strategy, leadership, creativity and vision.
With the constant evolution and the digital transformation worldwide, my main focus is to maintain the image of the group at a high level, to stay aware of current marketing trends, analyse data regularly, evaluate the success of the team marketing efforts and to come up with new ideas to improve branding exposure. I believe that no success comes without great hustle and that small steps every day will have a significant impact over time.
What are some of your favourite cultural hotspots in Dubai and why?
I am lucky to have been living in Dubai, the city of wonders for the past ten years and a city I call my home. Dubai is known for its modern architecture and skyscrapers and it holds several world records in the field of architecture. From the Palm Islands to the Burj Khalifa, Dubai can leave you mesmerised with the beauty touching the sky. Some of the most popular tourist attractions in Dubai have been built in the past few decades.
My favourite culture hotspots are Dubai Frame and Dubai Opera, which is the radiant centre of culture and arts in Dubai and the shining pearl of The Opera District. I like how Dubai keeps innovation as part of its constant development plan. I also can’t wait until Dubai’s Museum of the Future opens, as it will explore the challenges and technologies shaping the future, from medical breakthroughs to climate change and ecosystem collapse.
Share with us some of your professional goals for the rest of the year.
Living in Dubai will push us to be most up-to-date about the latest technologies and design concepts. At Sunset Hospitality, we are extremely busy with many new projects until 2021. My primary goal will be to deliver the right experience for the right market in this worldwide situation and we aim to position the group within the top hospitality leaders around the world. Stay tuned for more news to come. ✤
