The British stars head to Scotland for a campaign celebrating tartan, friendship and the great outdoors.
Some clothes feel as at home on a countryside walk as they do in the local pub. That versatility sits at the heart of the Autumn/Winter 2026 campaign from Barbour, which pairs Sienna Miller and Sir Idris Elba against the sweeping scenery of Scotland.
Titled The Barbour Way, the global campaign explores the British heritage brand’s expanding lifestyle wardrobe, with tartan providing the thread that connects its menswear and womenswear collections. The familiar pattern moves beyond jacket linings and into knitwear, shirts, dresses, trousers and accessories, offering plenty of ways to work it into an everyday outfit.

Directed by filmmaker Shannon Murphy and shot by cinematographer Robbie Ryan, the campaign follows two friends, Lena and Noah, played by Miller and Elba. Their story starts with a mix-up involving two pubs that share a name, setting the scene for a film rooted in friendship and the Scottish landscape.
There is a nod to Barbour’s own beginnings, too. The concept takes inspiration from founder John Barbour’s journey from Kirkcudbrightshire in southwest Scotland to South Shields, where he opened his first store in 1894. More than a century later, those Scottish connections remain central to the brand’s identity.

For AW26, that heritage takes shape in two new seasonal designs: Birchwood Tartan and Shadow Tartan. Both feature within a collection that gives the traditional pattern room to move across different pieces and occasions.
Miller’s involvement builds on her existing relationship with Barbour and her affection for countryside dressing. An ambassador for The King’s Foundation, she also shares an interest in craft, textiles and education.
Sienna Miller said: “Working on this campaign with the Barbour cast and content teams has been genuinely great fun. I’m a longstanding wearer and lover of the brand, and the campaign really encapsulates how it can be weaved into so many different contexts, whether it’s being bundled up in layers for a walk up a Scottish mountain or a casual dress down trip to the pub with an old mate.”

For Elba, the campaign adds another chapter to a career spanning acting, producing and music. Having received support from The King’s Trust early in his career, he continues to champion opportunities for young people through the organisation and the Elba Hope Foundation.
Sir Idris Elba said: “There’s something very honest about Barbour. It’s timeless but full of character. I’ve always admired brands that carry a real sense of heritage without standing still, and this campaign captures that beautifully. Being out in the Scottish landscape with Sienna, telling a story that connects back to Barbour’s roots, felt really natural.”
The Barbour Way is rolling out across digital and social channels, alongside selected retail spaces.
