Los Mochis will make its international debut in West Palm Beach in autumn 2027.
Plans include TENrei: The Art of Tuna Ceremony and a hidden, 12-seat omakase restaurant.
A second US restaurant is scheduled to open at One Beverly Hills in early 2028.
The London-born Mexican-Japanese restaurant will open at Phillips Point in autumn 2027.
London’s Los Mochis is swapping city streets for Florida’s waterfront as it prepares to open its first restaurant outside the UK. Scheduled to launch in autumn 2027, Los Mochis West Palm Beach will occupy a prime position at Phillips Point in Miami, marking the start of the restaurant brand’s international expansion.
For Thesleff Group, the move represents a significant next step for a concept built around the meeting of Mexican and Japanese cuisines. The new flagship will span 11,346 square feet, with views across the Intracoastal Waterway towards Palm Beach Island and the Atlantic Ocean. It is a setting that gives the restaurant a distinctly different backdrop to its London addresses, while retaining the culinary identity at the heart of Los Mochis.

Food will remain central to the experience, pairing Japanese techniques with Mexican flavours. Alongside the main restaurant, the opening will introduce TENrei: The Art of Tuna Ceremony to the United States for the first time. A hidden, 12-seat omakase restaurant will also form part of the venue, offering a more intimate dining experience within the larger waterfront destination.
Markus Thesleff, CEO and Founder of Thesleff Group, said: “When we launched Los Mochis, people told us that combining Japanese and Mexican cuisine was crazy. We believed there was something powerful in bringing these two cultures together – and London proved us right. West Palm Beach feels like the perfect place to begin this next chapter. It is a city going through an extraordinary transformation, and Phillips Point gives us a truly exceptional waterfront stage.”

Florida is only the first stop on the group’s American itinerary. A second Los Mochis is scheduled to open at One Beverly Hills in the first quarter of 2028, giving the brand a presence on both the East and West Coasts. Together, the two restaurants signal the scale of its ambitions beyond London.
The expansion follows recognition closer to home, with Los Mochis named Favourite Fusion Restaurant at the FACT Dining Awards London 2026. The restaurant sits within a wider Thesleff Group portfolio that includes Sale e Pepe, MA/NA Mayfair and the omakase concepts JUNO and LUNA.
With waterfront views, a tuna ceremony and an intimate omakase counter all in the plans, Los Mochis West Palm Beach is shaping up to be a significant new chapter for the London-born brand.
