The multiple FACT award-winning restaurant introduces Riviera-inspired café dining to the landmark hotel, with Dubai also on the horizon.
London’s grand hotels know a thing or two about long lunches, and The Lanesborough has a new reason to linger. Le Café LPM has made its debut at the Hyde Park Corner address in London, introducing a more casual side to La Petite Maison through a one-year residency. With French Mediterranean dishes and a menu that moves from lunch into evening, the concept adds a little Riviera sunshine to the capital’s dining scene.
For LPM, London is a fitting starting point. The international restaurant group began its journey here in 2007, developing a following for cooking inspired by the Côte d’Azur. Its subsequent expansion has taken that approach to tables across the world, including the Middle East. A multiple FACT award winner in London, Dubai, Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, La Petite Maison has become a familiar name for diners who appreciate bright Mediterranean flavours, convivial service and dishes made for sharing.
Its latest London address has an equally compelling story. The Lanesborough occupies the former St George’s Hospital building, a Regency landmark overlooking Hyde Park Corner. It opened as a luxury hotel in 1991, later reopening in 2015 following an extensive refurbishment by Alberto Pinto’s design studio. Today, its grand interiors and prestigious Knightsbridge location make it a suitably characterful setting for LPM’s next chapter.
Nicolas Budzynski, CEO of LPM Restaurants, said: “We are delighted to introduce the Le Café LPM pop-up at The Lanesborough, an iconic hotel that perfectly reflects the sophistication and elegance behind the concept. London holds a special place in our story as the city where La Petite Maison first began in 2007, making it the ideal setting to unveil this new chapter of the brand.”

On the menu, café classics sit alongside dishes that give diners an excuse to settle in. Burrata Tartine with tomatoes offers a light start, while the signature Croque Monsieur and La Salade César, available with chicken or lobster, offer further lunchtime options. Tuna Carpaccio and Grilled Octopus continue the Mediterranean theme, while a Sirloin Steak Baguette accompanied by gaufrette potatoes caters to heartier appetites.
Crispy fried squid with saffron aioli also appears on the menu, while returning LPM fans will recognise the dark chocolate mousse. The drinks offering centres on French wines and playful cocktails, although the restaurant’s famous Tomatini will not feature. Think an afternoon catch-up that turns into an early dinner, with another plate ordered along the way.

Le Café LPM in London is also a preview of a wider ambition. A permanent Le Café LPM is planned for Dubai, extending the brand’s café concept to a city where it already has a loyal following. For London diners, the year-long stay offers plenty of time to discover a new side of a familiar favourite.
