This is the Dubai-born brand’s first outpost in the US.

Dubai has spent the last decade exporting more than just skyline envy. It has also produced a roster of homegrown restaurants that have matured into global brands, winning over locals, drawing international attention, and opening doors in some of the world’s most competitive dining cities. One of the clearest success stories is GAIA, and it’s now officially headed to Miami in the United States.

This March, GAIA will make its long-awaited US debut at Miami Beach, taking up residence at 801 South Pointe Drive in the coveted South of Fifth neighbourhood. It’s a fitting address for Chef Izu Ani’s Greek-Mediterranean heavyweight.

GAIA Miami

Design has always been central to the GAIA experience, and the Miami outpost is set to follow suit, leaning into “refined Cycladic-inspired interiors” with whitewashed tones, limestone textures, greenery and coastal finishes. The look promises to feel elevated but unfussy, resulting in a space made for lingering lunches that turn into late dinners.

For night owls, the opening also introduces NYX, GAIA’s after-dark lounge concept. Expect a moodier continuation of the evening, engineered for post-dinner drinks and the kind of crowd that Miami does best. In other words, celebrity sightings feel less like a possibility and more like a plan.

GAIA Miami

On the menu, GAIA Miami will remain grounded in Greek home-style cooking, overseen by Chef Izu Ani. Diners can expect signatures and crowd-pleasers spanning Raw Bluefin Tuna, the signature Sea Bream Carpaccio, Classic Moussaka, Charcoal-grilled Wagyu Rib Eye and Lobster Linguini, alongside plenty more seafood-forward plates that suit the setting.

The restaurant will house GAIA’s signature Ice Market, a daily display of fish and seafood presented on ice, allowing guests to select their catch and choose how they want it prepared, a simple, confident flex that has become part of the brand’s identity.

GAIA Miami

Founded by Fundamental Hospitality and Chef Izu Ani, GAIA first opened in Dubai in 2018 and quickly became a city favourite. It has since expanded to Monaco, Doha, London and Marbella, while also earning FACT Dining Awards in both Dubai and London, cementing its reputation as one of the region’s most celebrated dining destinations. The Miami opening marks GAIA’s first-ever US flagship.

If you find yourself in Miami after March and craving a taste of Dubai’s dining scene, GAIA Miami in South of Fifth should be top of the list.
